More detailed info about members releases and so on to be found at the misc section. This is sort of a "Beginners Guide to Kåre & the Cavemen/Euroboys". It owes alot to info on this site, as well as Willy B's Cavemen/Euroboys article in Mute #1 2002.

1988-1990: Knut Schreiner played guitar in The Goo Goo Mucks (Stooges/Velvet Underground coverband) with Audun Vinger (bass), Lars Mack (bass), Jørgen Kjørven (drums) and Lars Gustavsen (guitar). The played approximately 10 gigs before they spilt. No releases.
1990: The first band called Kåre & The Cavemen played a concert during winter. Originally a trio; Knut (guitar), Kåre J. Pedersen (vocals) and Werner Holm (drums -> according to Knut the inventor of the bandname!) got joined onstage by Dag F. Gravem (bass). Werner left after this one concert, and Kåre took over the drums.
1990-1995: Knut (guitar), Dag (bass), Kåre (drums). In the meantime, Knut played in The Bittersweets, The Kwyet Kings with Kåre and The Vikings with Thomas "Happy Tom" Seltzer (Thomas asked Knut later to join Turboneger).
1991:
The first gig with this new line up was at Planet Rock, Oslo in January. Support act: Peau de Peche.
Demo-tape; "Rock with the Cavemen" recorded 18.01.91
1993: The track Monster-a-go-go is included on the Penguins And Bondage compilation LP. Compiled by Arne Thelin of The Kwyet Kings.
1995-97: Knut (guitar), Dag (bass), Kåre (drums) gets joined by Anders Møller (percussion), who had previously played in O-Men, Anal Babes and Gluecifer.
1996:
"The Mood" 7" EP released on Hit Me Records (7596hits). Anders does not play on this.
The cavemen play at "Sommeråpent" at Norwegian Tv NRK. Anders on holiday, so Øystein Greni of Bigbang joins on percussion.
The Cavemen gets the job as house band on NRK2 tv-show "Direkte Lykke", which makes the band known in Norway. Kåre becomes the boyfriend of program leader Anne Kath Hærland. This got much attention in the media.
The band also recorded 42 jingles for NRK P3's Roxrevyen, of which 3 was used.
...reverberation! EP released on CD and 7" on Virgin.
Knut joins Turbonegro.

1997:
Jet Age, the Cavemen's first album is released on Virgin. It gets well received in the media, and the band gets lots of media coverage due to their attitude in interviews and other stunts. Kåre pose nude in Puls magazine and so on.
Girlfriend in Tacoma CDS released on Virgin.
Per Øydir (organ) joins the band.
The band appears at the Roskilde festival as Cool & the Cavemen. Euroboys later this year chosen as name for abroad releases and performances.
Music made for Telenor Internett and Vazeline Intensive Care commercials.
First tour in USA.

1998:
Few gigs this year. Knut on tour with Turboneger. Turbo release Apocalypse Dudes.
Christer Engen, previous drummer in Bigbang and drummer in Turbo joins the band on percussion.
Film music made for Frozen Heart/Frosset Hjerte soundtrack. Some 40 minutes worth of music recorded which wasn't used.
Filadelfia CDS released late this year.
Turboneger break up, due to health concerns.
 1999:
Long Day's Flight 'till Tomorrow released in February on CD and vinyl on Virgin and Man's Ruin. There are six(!) different version of this release. Check the discography.
Extensive touring in Norway and abroad.
Down the Road of Golden Dust CDS released. This includes some songs that were meant to be on the album, but due to copyright issues got delayed. The CD design revealed the band's view on NRK P3.
1999 Man EP released in November.
 2000:
The band starts to record a new album. The recording process in not an easy one and conflicts, which gets media publicity, leads to the break up of the band.
The band change name to Euroboys, now also in Norway.
Getting Out of Nowhere gets released in autumn on Virgin.
The last track on the album, Come On In, Your Time Is Up, features new band members recruited by Anders and Knut; Stefan "Rockman" Høglin (organ and keys), Christer's brother Mads Engen (bass) (previously of Billion Dollar Mission and Team Spirit) and Ole "First Valley" Øvstedal (guitar). Christer continues as a group member and Anders play the drums.
Knut and Anders featured on several releases.
 2001:
Stefan leaves in May 2001. New keyboardplayer Erling Nordrud Hansen joins the band.
EP released with Hot Rod Magazine.
 2002:
Quiet. Knut joins Turboneger for a reunion tour.
Kåre João release his debut album Sideman, joined by Dag and Per. Christer Engen play drums on one track. Kåre plays at Quart and Øyafestivalen, plus some gigs in Oslo.
Rumours about a new Euroboys album.
Per release eps with his new band, The Indikation.
2003:
Turboneger release an album in April, called Scandinavian Leather. Tours with Queens of the Stone Age in USA, an Europe tour and tour in sport halls in Norway. Summerfestivals. Another American and a Australian tour. Concerts in Europe.
Kåre João release cds "Sleepers" released in April.
2004:
A couple of Turboneger concerts in February-April.
Euroboys album due out in May. Radio single in February-March.
New Kåre João album due for release this spring?
